The first time I held a microphone, I was ten years old.
It was 1992 at the First Lady’s Children’s Concert in Abuja, organised by Mariam Babangida, First Lady of Nigeria.
I didn’t know it then, but that single moment would shape everything that came after.
By 2007, I chose to build a career as a Master of Ceremonies – I simply wanted work that resonated with who I am ‘restless, jovial, talkative and fearless’.
I wanted work that could bring fulfillment, transform my natural talent into a refined skill, and lead me toward what the Japanese call Ikigai: the point where what you love, what you’re good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for all meet.
I am grateful I chose this path of being a Master of Ceremonies.
It gave me life. It gave me purpose. It gave me clarity.
So no, I did not set out to become The Queen of Talk. I simply wanted to live my best life and help others do the same.
How the Journey Evolved
Over eighteen years later, that microphone has taken me from local halls to presidential galas; from policy summits and boardroom dinners to luxury weddings and international business forums.
I have served governments, corporate giants, industry pioneers, and global foundations across energy, finance, manufacturing, FMCG, technology, healthcare and more.
Whether moderating a summit, steering a state banquet, or hosting a brand activation, I bring flow, structure, grace, cultural intelligence, and unforgettable presence.
And as the stages grew larger, so did my mission.
When I step off the podium, I enter another – the classroom.
Today, I coach executives and senior professionals in the fine art of bold, intelligent speaking: confidence, clarity, audience engagement, and gravitas.
Because history reminds us ‘the world is changed by leaders who can communicate their ideas and desires clearly.’
The Impact So Far
I have trained over 30,000 professionals to speak with courage and precision.
I have trained more than 1,000 Event Host MCs across Africa – teaching them to host with prestige, tell stories with cultural depth, and build sustainable, profitable speaking careers.
Through programmes such as Prepare to Speak and the Money Making Mouth Conference, I’ve watched African professionals discover that confidence is not a gift, but a skill, built through deliberate practice and honest reflection.

The Cause I Fight For
Too many brilliant minds lose opportunities...
Because they cannot express what they know.
Too many leaders are misunderstood because their voices are trapped behind fear or uncertainty.
I fight fear and self-doubt – the unseen barrier to influence.
I fight silence – the quiet thief of potential.
I fight invisibility — the reason great work goes unnoticed.
My mission is clear: to help African professionals, leaders speak so well that the world must listen.
MY PERSONAL PHILOSOPHY
You’re not just meant to be heard — you’re meant to be remembered.
Today and Beyond
I am Joyce Daniels Queen of Talk – Master of Ceremonies and Executive Speaking Coach
Eighteen years in, I’m still driven by the same heartbeat:
to live fully, speak boldly, and help others find their own Ikigai through communication that moves hearts, minds, and nations.
“When you find your voice, you find your power.”
This is not a slogan, it’s my life’s work.
