By 25, I chose to be a full-time Master of Ceremonies as a profession –
In 2007, at the age of 25, I made the odd decision to become a full-time Master of Ceremonies. Many thought it was failure, an unusual choice, described by some as a sign of giving up on myself, or not being realistic or ambitious enough….more pressure.

Some days I went hungry, I “suffered small.” People told me to abandon my dream and “get a real job.” I could have chosen to feel like a victim of life’s circumstances, but I chose a better path.

I refused to fold. I scaffolded with other jobs, stumbled through mistakes, and learned resilience the hard way.
Eighteen years later, here I am Joyce Daniels, Queen of Talk, celebrated as a success in my field.
